Book coverProfessor Cati Connell is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Boston University and former Director of the BU Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program. Her first book, School’s Out: Gay and Lesbian Teachers in the Classroom, was published in 2015 by University of California Press. Her most recent book, A Few Good Gays, explores the causes and consequences of the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, the gender integration of combat, and the ongoing question of transgender inclusion. Her current research explores the evolving meanings and uses of lesbian as a self-descriptor in the 21st century.
