Congratulations to Associate Professor Poulami Roychowdhury on the release of the new book she co-edited with Gabrielle Kruks-Wisner entitled, “Unequal Contagion: Citizenship, Democracy, and the Politics of COVID-19 in India.” The book presents a unique and interdisciplinary analysis of India's experience of the COVID-19 pandemic, with both scholarly and policy insights into the politics of crisis in unequal democracies. Professor Patrick Heller also contributed a chapter with two former graduate students from the Sociology Department, Anindita Adhikari and Ieva Zumbyte.
