Understanding the mentality and identity behind 'backlash' summarizes my primary interest, especially regarding environmentalism and gender equality. More specifically, my previous studies focused on how the perception of threat to identity affects environmental attitudes in the U.S. In broader terms, I aim to examine the intersection of environment, culture, politics, and gender to understand how the interplay of these forces constructs the world as we know it. Methodologically, my work bridges qualitative approaches like content analysis and quantitative techniques like Structural Equation Modeling (SEM); moving forward, I seek to advance computational methods to develop new tools that capture the nuances of socially constructed identities and attitudes.
