Department of Sociology

I completed my BA with Honors in International and Public Affairs and a second concentration in Modern Culture and Media at Brown this past May. My professional interests include strategic communications along with digital and cyber policy. Throughout the past two years, I’ve spent some time working on strategic communications at the Council on Foreign Relations and the campaign firm BerlinRosen. I decided to pursue this program as a 5th-year master’s as I saw how necessary data analytics is to leverage both my professional and academic interests.

I’m from Istanbul, Turkey, and have lived in the US since the beginning of my undergraduate studies at Brown. In my free time in Providence, I like to go to cozy cafes and try some new elaborate matcha drinks, go to Twenty Stories to check what new books they have, and do my best to stay active by joining classes at the Nelson.
