Biography

I completed my Bachelor of Economics in Quantitative Economics at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, where I received academic training mainly focused on using econometric models for empirical research on economic or political topics. During that time, I worked as a student analyst for consulting and PR firms in Shanghai, looking into evidence of market change that might impact business of our clients. I’m looking forward to developing my skills as a market analyst on consumer products. One of my research interest is assessing the role of public environment awareness on consumer’s willingness to pay for green products. I would also be interested in how other rises of social concepts affect the market of products/brands emphasizing the social value.

I have spent most of my life in Shanghai, China and it’s my first time to live in the US. Although I enjoy the lifestyle of staying at home watching iPad and playing video games, I plan to adjust to a healthier life mode. I would be excited to go shopping, and maybe hiking, camping and traveling with friends. I also love to cook and share food (not confident of my cooking skill though). I enjoy hotpot, Korean BBQ, Ramen and Italian food, and am happy to explore various food around here.
