Department of Sociology

I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, with minors in Digital Communication Information, and Media, at Rutgers University. I am interested in research and study revolving around biostatistics, biotechnology, and public health. Although my undergraduate study does not directly transfer to my interest in graduate studies, choosing health science and data-related topics has become my passion because of COVID and numerous health problems that happened to people around me. I hope my study through using big data and software can help me come up with better ways to prevent people from getting sick and protect them from being attacked by viruses.

In my spare time, I love producing music, playing video games, basketball, bodybuilding, and boxing. All of my hobbies help me explore and understand myself, by putting myself either under the scrutiny of others, or myself. These hobbies also provide different levels and scopes of challenges, which I enjoy overcoming. I can't wait to come to Providence, and meet some new friends, who probably will become my new gym buddies!
